Our Working Holiday Experience in Down Under Back in 2009 I suffered from pneumonia and were in a hospital in Taiwan. During my three weeks in the hospital I had a lot of time to think and surf the internet. I had just spend 6 month in Taiwan learning Chinese and were running out of [...]

Another new city, another new job
Since January 2 I am back in Keelung. I started working for QNAP, one of the worlds largest NAS storage vendors. Their headquarter is located in Xizhi which is about 18km away from Keelung. It takes me around 40 minutes by scooter to get there. I hope I can get my working permit in the [...]

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from Taiwan! We decided to go to see the Taipei 101 firework despite the cold and rainy weather in Keelung. The weather is different in Taipei anyway, thats what people usually say and it’s true. Just 20km further after the mountains, the sky was clear and no rain at all. Perfect conditions [...]

Christmas is coming, maybe…
We are going to have a Christmas Party tomorrow in Keelung. I tried to get everybody interested in “Glühwein“, a German mulled wine, but Taiwanese do not drink alcohol. IKEA is selling bottles of their Swedish mulled wine which is somewhat similar, I gonna go and get a bottle tomorrow in Taipei. I can drink that alone right? I [...]
